Our supporters
We rely entirely on the hard work and good will of our friends and supporters. Our two largest supporters to date have been One Cause (UK based charity) and Unique Holdings ltd (Ugandan based company). In addition, we are supported by a number of individuals and volunteers from Uganda and the UK, both financially and in kind.
We work particularly closely with the board of One Cause in the delivery of our projects and any assistance that you give to them, will also indirectly directly benefit Auro Foundation. They run a number of events and schemes in the UK and we encourage you to find out more and get involved in the great work that they do: http://www.onecauseuk.org/

We also work closely with Care Education, who have been particularly supporting us for the phase 1 construction. They similarly run a number of events and schemes in the UK and we encourage you to find out more through their website: www.careducation.org

Value for money
We know that your hard-earned money should be respected and we are extremely careful around how we manage our donations. Records are kept impeccably and a number of checks and balances are in place to ensure the appropriate use of donated money. Our target is to have no more than 7.5% of your donations go into administration and overhead costs (audit fees, airtime, stationary, statutory costs, utilities etc…) and we go to great lengths to ensure that we gain value of money.

Sponsor a Child (SAC)
Our most popular scheme is the “sponsor a child” scheme. For 99 GBP ($130) per year we ensure that a student is provided the basics needed to attend the school. We are currently looking for SAC sponsors for year 8. The SAC scheme includes:
- A school uniform
- Exercise books and writing material
- Subsidy towards tuitions fees
- A meal a day
- Printing of award certificate
- Use of tools and equipment of the school
- Teaching of core subject (Carpentry, Bricklaying or Tailoring)
- Extracurricular activities (Music and Drama, Taekwondo, debating club, character building classes, English, Computer skills)
Sponsors will receive a personalized profile for their student (includes background, aspirations and photo) and a 6-monthly update on you student’s progress. The scheme is currently running for our year 8 intake, from January 2017.
General donation
If you would like to make a donation outside of these 2 schemes, please let us know (any amount small or large would be very welcome). If there are specific items, or areas that you would like to invest in, (e.g. sewing machines, computers, medical camp etc…) we would be happy to provide accountability.
In-kind support
If you are inspired to provide in kind support (e.g. accountancy, legal, technical, organisational etc…) or if you have items to donate (e.g. second hand clothes, baby toys, stationary, building material, computers, books), please contact us to co-ordinate.
Volunteer
So far we have successfully hosted over 35 volunteers from the USA, India, Italy, Germany, Romania, UK, Australia and France. We operate a volunteer scheme which includes a comprehensive induction and mentoring. It can be tailored according to your needs and you can come and stay with us at the volunteer’s quarters for a week, a month or even a year. You will learn new skills, have an opportunity to make a real tangible difference and get involved at a grass root level. We currently need skills in teaching, agriculture, engineering, fund raising, medicine, social work and project management.
Alternatively, you can volunteer on an ad-hoc basis. We want people who are committed to serving and who have passion. Just contact us and we will see how we can collaborate together.
Conclusion
We hope that this material has provided you with the inspiration. We would love you at some point to come and visit us, and see for yourself how your support is making a difference. You would always be welcome.
Whether you send out a positive thought, smile or simply spread the word, it all matters. The tiniest contribution you decide to make will be very welcome. Thank you for partnering with us and for your generosity in reading this whole report.
If you have any questions or would like to talk to us about any of the above, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
…and finally, a small quote that has continued to inspired us along our journey…
